2021 Summer Photo Contest

by | Aug 21, 2021

Thank you to all those who participated in the 2021 Summer Photo Contest.  Parents posted photos of family summer fun on Tumbleweeds Magazine’s social media July 8th through August 11th for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Tomasita’s.

Congratulations to our photo contest winner!

This photo of Maxine and La Emi was taken at The Lodge at Santa Fe after a performance by Flamenco Youth de Santa Fe, the youth company of EmiArteFlamenco. Maxine was lucky enough to have started dancing with La Emi right after her third birthday in December 2019. During the early part of the pandemic, weekly virtual lessons taught by La Emi offered Maxine connection and companionship during a very challenging time. Once in-person classes and performances resumed, Maxine found a welcoming community and many role models among the dedicated young women of Flamenco Youth de Santa Fe.
